MicroSurvey CAD 2005 SP1.1 Release Notes

November 18, 2005

Output scale factor wasn't displaying scaled values in the curve inverse dialog, but was at the command line.‚  This has been fixed.

Added functionality so when the COGO rotation angle option is used, the user will see a note at the command line that a rotation is being applied when bearings are entered using COGO.

2 point inverse information that is displayed at the command line has been updated to fit on one line.

On the Cad Curves computation dialog, if the output scale factor is turned on, we will display a note in the dialog ¢‚¬Å“Applying Output Scale Factor (###.###)¢‚¬

Improved MSCAD functions that are affected by the input or output scale factors so reminder is displayed in the command line and in the view log.‚  ¢‚¬Å“OS¢‚¬ indicates that an output scale was applied, where as ¢‚¬Å“IS¢‚¬ indicates that an input scale was applied.

Open loop closure with first backsight being a direction would cause a problem.‚  This has been fixed.

Attempting to spline a POLYLINE or LWPOLYLINE that has only 2 vertices would cause a crash, this is now fixed.

Added support to allow the registration of MSCAD 2005 for educational purposes.

ADT improvements to prevent a crash that could occur if the user started an ADT function such as "Set Coordinate" and closed the ADT editor before completing the command.

Fixed the problem that would cause thin line weights to not appear thin when plotted.

Extended Entity Data attached to Group objects was lost after the drawing was saved, this is now fixed.

Corrected a problem that could crash MSCAD when you tried to move the ruler in the MTEXT dialog.

Corrected a problem that would sometimes reset the base point of a user defined hatch.

Sometimes the wrong house was being placed from the library, even though the correct one was selected.‚  This problem has been corrected.

SMI Raw File Import ¢‚¬€œ TR shots stored in the raw file will now be displayed as a traverse ¢‚¬Å“TR¢‚¬ shot in MSCAD when imported.‚  Before this change they were displayed as sideshot ¢‚¬Å“SS¢‚¬ record which still computed correct coordinates when the file was processed.

New houses added to the library that were originally drawn at other than 0,0 were being inserted based upon 0,0 and could be shifted off the lot.‚  This is fixed.

Notes about Input Scale Factor

Following is a complete list of commands that are now affected by the input scale factor toggle. ‚

COGO

The input scale toggle should be applied everywhere that distances are used in cogo.

cogo, regular options: TR, DD, DA, elsewhere?

cogo, curve (dialog and command line)

cogo, chord bearing

cogo, bearing offsets

100

100g6 (including the vertical distance)

1..2

c(100)

100s

100i

100fsg6

1..2/2

1..2+A

c(3ms+4i) ¢‚¬€œ the scale will be applied to the final answer

1..2+3m ¢‚¬€œ does not convert the 3 to meters, it just uses the 3

A

Vertical angle toggle

Batch COGO
