Updating USB Key Drivers

If you are experiencing issues with your computer not recognizing your USB key, especially on new computers or after upgrading to the latest version of Windows, it may be caused by an outdated driver.  An indicator of this is your Windows Device Manager reporting a "USB Device not recognized" or similar message.

To resolve this issue, please download the latest version of the License manager from this link.  After that, you can reinstall the driver:

1. Open File Explorer

2. Browse to: C:\Program Files (x86)\MicroSurvey\USB License Manager\Drivers\CTSetup

3. Double click on"CBUSetup.exe" and follow the prompts to install the driver.

4. Restart your computer

5. Check that the red light on your USB key is on.

6. If the light does not come on, try disconnecting and reconnecting or try different USB ports.

Now run the License Manager to activate or update your USB key.

If you are still experiencing issues with your USB key, please try the License Manager Troubleshooter.

Some newer computes may not recognize the USB key. You will notice that the red light on the USB key does not light up when plugged into the computer.

In those cases, there is an updated driver for the USB key for those computers: CBUSetup 2/2022
