Getac and Panasonic Tablets Bluetooth Connection Issues

Some of our customers are reporting that they are unable to establish a Bluetooth Connection with our field software. The steps below may resolve these issues that are reported for Getac and Panasonic tablets:

  1. Go to "Control Panel - Uninstall a program" and uninstall BTup Service (Windows will restart after)
  2. Go to "Control Panel - Uninstall a program" and select Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless Software for Bluetooth(R) Technology
  3. Select "Change" and then pick the "Remove" option (Windows will restart after)
  4. Download the file "BT_Driver_v3.1-pv6_Win8.1_Win64_Install zip" from here
  5. Right-click on the zipped file and choose "Extract All..."
  6. Once extracted, double-click on the Setup.exe file, and install by following the prompts
  7. Restart Windows after the Bluetooth installer completes
  8. Launch FieldGenius and remove the instrument from the Bluetooth Device List
  9. Tap "Search" to search for the instrument again
  10. You should be able to connect to the instrument now
