MicroSurvey CAD 2016 or newer requires that Leica Cyclone be installed in order to access pointcloud data. Cyclone can be installed in "Viewer" mode for this purpose, and also allows users to open and view point clouds from a variety of sources even if you are not using MicroSurvey CAD Ultimate or Studio.

The instructions below will go over how to install Cyclone:
1. Right-click on the CycloneSetup931-x64.exe and “Run as administrator”.
2. Press “Next” to begin the installation process.
3. Select “Yes” if you agree with the licensing agreement.
4. Accept the destination default setting and press “Next”.
5. Select “Cyclone: VIEWER” and press “Next”.
6. Leave the Program Folder at default setting specified below and select “Next”.
7. Select “Next” to start copying the files.
8. Select “Install”.
8. Select "NO" when FARO LS install failure message prompts
9. Check shortcut locations and select “Next”.
10. Select “Finish”
11. Press “OK”.
You have now successfully installed Cyclone Viewer
