Resetting Sokkia's RC-PR units to connect to SRX,SX, and IX Total Stations

Why reset the Sokkia RC-PR Remote?

In the event the the Sokkia RC-PR remote will not pair with a total station or Bluetooth communication is problematic, resetting the RC-PR initializes the Bluetooth module, returns all paramters to default and resets pairing. The serial number and bluetooth module power settings will remain unchanged.

Resetting the RC-PR remote:

1) Ensure RC-PR unit is powered down

2) While holding the FAR and the SEARCH buttons, press the POWER button to switch the remote ON

3) Release the POWER button and continue to hold the FAR and SEARCH buttons for about 10 seconds or until three (3) beep sounds are made, Then release both buttons

4) Press and hold the FAR button for about 10 seconds or until the beep sounds several times, then release the button

5) The two connection LED's will be lit and the FAR and SEARCH LED's will blink while the RC unit performs the reset

6) The beep will sound several times followed by a short pause and a final single beep. This signifies the operation is complete and the remote will automatically return to normal functioning 

7) Turn off the remote. It is now ready to be paired to a Total Station
