MSCAD 2005 / MapScenes 2006 Toolbar Problems

Q) Every time I start up MSCAD 2005 or MapScenes 2006, my toolbars move around. It's driving me crazy, how can I make them stay put?

A) This is due to the program looking at the non-maximized window size to determine where the toolbars can be placed as the program is started. To get around this, do the following steps:

  1. Start MSCAD/MapScenes. The toolbars will be placed in the incorrect positions.
  2. Press the Restore Down button (the middle of the three buttons in the top-right corner of the program window), it will shrink your MSCAD/MapScenes window down to it's non-maximized size.
  3. Stretch the size of your window to roughly cover your entire monitor by dragging the corners of the window.
  4. Press the Maximize button to expand back to full-screen.
  5. Place your toolbars as desired.
  6. Exit MSCAD/MapScenes to save the toolbar positions as they are currently positioned.
  7. Start MSCAD/MapScenes again, and this time your toolbars should all be placed correctly.
