Mouse Options in MSCAD2005 and MapScenes 2006

The middle mouse button has many‚ features or options‚ in MSCAD2005 and MapScenes 2006, including the ability to Zoom In and Out by rolling the mouse wheel. Zoom Extents by double clicking the mouse wheel. Panning by picking and holding the mouse wheel and moving the mouse.

The Entity Snaps are not available on the middle mouse wheel (by default) but you can get them by holding the Shift key down on the kepboard, and at the same time pick the Right Mouse button.

You can modify the middle mouse button so that the Entity Snaps are available but in doing so the Pan and Zoom Extents options would be disabled - Trade Offs.‚  To make the Middle Mouse button bring up the Entity Snaps, type MBUTTONPAN at the command line, and turn it OFF.‚  To reverse this type the command again and turn it back ON.

There is the Entity Snap toolbar, which defaults to being on the right side of the screen, which can be moved on screen, as desired, for easy picking.
