MicroSurveyCAD Ultimate 2023 can import an LGS file and all functions on the MsPointCloud ribbon will be functional. During the year 2023 Leica Geosystems updated a number of their products so that the LGS format is no longer exported but instead export an LGSX format.
MIcroSurvey CAD 2026 Ultimate and newer can now import LGSX files exported from a Leica scanning product and all functions on the MsPointCloud ribbon will be functional. Use the command _CWIMPORTLGS
MicroSurvey CAD 2026 Ultimate and newer can also import the following non-Leica pointcloud formats and all functions on the MsPointCloud ribbon will be functional. Use the command _CWIMPORTLGS:
IntelliCAD can attach *.pcg files to a drawing, and this function is available in all versions of MicroSurveyCAD 2023 and newer. Use the command POINTCLOUDATTACH. HOWEVER, none of the functions of the MsPointCloud Ribbon will be available.
MicroSurvey CAD 2026 Ultimate and newer can also import the following non-Leica pointcloud formats and all functions on the MsPointCloud ribbon will be functional:
*.las, *.e57 and *.ptx
Use the command _CWIMPORTPC_LGS:
