On Jan 1, 2025 it was discovered that licensing of a component that enables point cloud functionality prevented many point cloud functions from working. Our developers have identified the issue and issued a patch that replaces those componts for an immediate solution:
Steps to run:
1. Log in to an account with administrative privileges
2. Download the following file:
https://s3.microsurvey.com/ims-map360/2024.0/Hotfix/Map360-Point-Cloud-Hotfix-V3.zip
3. Extract the zip file
4. Close all instances of MSCAD
5. Run the “Hotfix.exe”
6. If prompted by the operating system or security software that the process may not be trustworthy (this is expected) select the advanced options and indicate you would like to run "Run anyways"
7. It will generate a log file called “log.txt” so if it fails the log file can be inspected.
