Connecting a Leica Viva to a TPS1200 Robotic Total Station

This guide describes 3 different ways of connecting your Leica Geosystems TPS1200 robotic total station using a Viva controller to FieldGenius or Evidence Recorder, and the settings necessary to do this.

1.  The first method in this guide of connecting the data collector to your total station describes using Leica's robotic radios.
2.  The second way connects the data collector to the total station using Bluetooth.
3.  The third way connects using a standard Leica serial cable.

Typically you would normally connect using the robotic radios but there may be instances when you do not wish to work robotically (with an operator behind the instrument for example) and you wish to connect the two devices in an other way.  This guide describes all three ways.
