General info about NMEA Stream
The Emlid transmits a position as a NMEA stream.
FieldGenius for Android can be used with EMLID's highly affordable GPS solution. Some notes:
- Base/Rover configuration must be accomplished outside of FieldGenius. Base location options are limited.
- Network Rover RTK solution only with the RS model, Radio Base-Rover Connection not supported.
- Network Rover RTK and Radio Base-Rover Connection supported with RS+, RS2 and RS3 model.
- RS/RS+ antenna offset: 65mm
- RS2/RS3 antenna offset: 134mm
Emlid RS3 Tilt notes:
- Emlid Flow app - Bluetooth NMEA message type GGA must be set to 2 Hz or lower
- Emlid Flow app - Bluetooth NMEA message type GSV must be set to 0.1 Hz
- Emlid Flow app - Bluetooth NMEA all other message types can remain at 1 Hz
- Antenna Height must be entered only in Emlid Flow. Leave the height as 0 in FieldGenius
- Instrument must be turned on while outside receiving satellites. If it was turned on before, the IMU may not initialize.
- Once you are RTK Fixed in FieldGenius, the IMU may still not be initialized. Move the instrument around in different directions. You should hear a “beep” noise from the RS3 once it initializes.
