GSM SIM card specifications for the Altus APS-3

If you have an Altus APS-3 and want to use the GSM module to make your receiver a "Network Rover" you need to contact your internet service provider and ensure that the SIM card they will provide meets these requirements:

• GSM SIM card (not UMTS)
• Data Service only
• No IMEI number (ie: no associated hardware/handset)

We have not confirmed this, but if your SIM card does not meet the above specifications it may be possible to use the "Data Collector Internet" method for your device to act as a network rover.
