June 24, 2009 Update

New Quick Update packages for FieldGenius 2008 v4.1.0 are now available using the links below. If you have installed v4.1.0 prior to today and are experiencing many crashes, downloading and installing this newest build should solve your problem. To confirm which version you have installed, the About FieldGenius screen will say "Version 4.1.0 (2009-06-23)" if you are running the most current version.

!!! You must have FieldGenius 2008 v4.0.1 (or newer) installed‚ to use‚ this update !!!

Use the following downloads to help you update to FieldGenius 2008 v4.0.4 as quickly and efficiently as possible.

The following zip files contain only the main program‚ files which can be copied directly to your data collector.‚ It will not update the help files.

Instructions

1. Download the zip file (see below) that matches the data collector you are using.
   
   
2. Unzip the file locally on your desktop computer. The zip file will contain 2 or 3 files:‚ an FG*.exe, a GPSFUNC5.DBF and sometimes a JSAPI.dll file.
   
   
3. Connect your data collector to your computer.‚ Right click on the ActiveSync icon on‚ your PC's toolbar and select "Explore."‚ Browse into your data collector‚ and then copy all files to the ...\MicroSurvey FieldGenius\Programs directory. Overwrite the existing files when prompted.
   
   
4. Start FieldGenius and go to the Main Menu | About to confirm that you have FieldGenius 2008 v4.1.0 (2009-06-12).
