Recommended system requirements to run MicroSurvey CAD 2021 and newer:

- Intel® Core™ i5-8500 CPU @ 3.00 GHz, or newer

- 8 to 16 gigabytes (GB) of RAM

- Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 or newer.

Notes for hardware components:

- There is a potential conflict when customers who are using NVIDIA custom profiles. Read this article for its detail and how to restore it to default.

- Dedicated graphics device with dedicated memory is recommended.

- AMD based processors (CPU) and graphics cards (GPU) are less common as of this article's creation (23-Nov-2020), so we recommend trying the software with this hardware before purchase.

Notes about Storage:

-All MicroSurvey CAD products read and write to a survey database while you are working on the project.  This high performance database tracks every "smart" point, line and label while you are working which can entail thousands of read/write operations per second.  For this reason Network storage locations, backup routines, antivirus solutions and cloud storage services should be tested carefully before establishing your organization's workflows.  Most LAN based storage solutions and antivirus services are reported as being compatible with MicroSurvey but there are exceptions.  MicroSurvey support recommends against saving your drawing to One Drive, Google Drive or Dropbox while working on drawings.  However there will be no issue if drawings are saved to the local hard drive to be worked on and then backed up to the cloud location afterward.
