MicroSurvey inCAD 2027 brings our comprehensive suite of surveying tools to existing AutoCAD® 2027 installations, including AutoCAD®, AutoCAD Map3D®, and AutoCAD Civil 3D®.
What’s New in Version 27.0
What’s New
- Support for the 2027 releases of Autodesk AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Map 3D products.
What’s Improved
- The Active Coordinate Editor row selections using click + drag, and shift + click are now much faster.
- The MicroSurvey Title Block command was renamed to MS_TB to not confict with the AutoCAD Table command alias.
Bug Fixes
- When the MicroSurvey labelling defaults were set to use a Windows font (Like Arial.ttf), each time the drawing is opened, an error message was shown “Error: Unable to find font file”. The filepaths are now stored and read correctly.
- Loading drawings made in earlier versions of the program now brings over any applicable label scale factor changes made in those drawings:
- MicroSurvey inCAD 2023 and earlier will only have the first 5 styles labelling scale factors (because they only had 5), MicroSurvey inCAD 2024 and onwards will have all 10 styles labelling scale factors.
- The Job Configuration Settings (Job Defaults) was not consistently respecting the “Set these defaults as permanent” checkbox when creating a new drawing with another drawing already open.
- When the colour of a polylineline had been changed from the colour defined by a layer, the CAD Polyline Computations dialog (double clicking on the polyline) would revert the colour to that of the layer. Polylines will now retain their set colour.
- When creating a Survey Group and applying filters, the labels of points which were included in a CAD pick but not the filter are also added to the Survey Group, while the point nodes are not. None of the points which were excluded by the filter should have been getting added.
- Fixed a minor formatting problem on the Leica DBX import dialog.
Important Notes
Compatibility and Upgrades
MicroSurvey inCAD will read and write to *.DWG drawing files and our *.MSZ database interchangeably with our other CAD products: MicroSurvey CAD, embeddedCAD, and SurveyTools for BricsCAD. There are no compatibility issues or workarounds required to use saved MicroSurvey databases between these products. We have supported the *.MSZ format since 2008, and offer conversion utilities for older formats which are described here.
