Data Collector Internet

MicroSurvey FieldGenius and Evidence Recorder have the ability to connect to an NTRIP or Network correction service even if the receiver does not have a GSM Modem.

The data collector must have access to the internet using either a WiFi connection, a SIM card in the data collector or a cell phone or modem external connection. If you can open Internet Explorer and can surf the web on the data collector than you should investigate using this connection method.

• The Algiz also has a slot for a SIM card and can be used in this application. See the Algiz manual for more information.
• Bluetooth enabled data collectors can connect to the internet using a WiFi connection or by connecting to the internet via a smartphone or "MiFi" device that has been configured to act as a "WiFi Hotspot."
